Pack Leadership

We are a parent-run organization, all families are required to take a role to help our Pack operate.

Every year we have folks whose scouts age out of the pack, we need to have these roles in place to keep the Pack strong!

Committee Chair - Jesse Burtz

• Calling and presiding at pack leaders' meetings - Assigning duties to, and training, committee members - Planning for pack charter review, roundup, and re-registration - Approving bills before payment by the pack treasurer

• Conduct the annual pack program planning conference and pack leaders' meetings.

• Maintain a close relationship with the chartered organization representative, keeping this key person informed of the needs of the pack that must be brought to the attention of the organization or the district.

Pack Secretary - Open Position

• Attends monthly committee meetings, takes notes. Assists the committee and pack with everything.

Charter Organization Representative - Samn Gilbert

• A liaison between the Chartered Organization and the Pack.

Pack Treasurer - Brenda McCurley

• Works with the committee to set budgets, collect payments, make payments and reimbursements.

Pack Advancement Chair - Pawan Ambardekar

• Runs advancement reports and purchases awards from the scout shop. Organizes awards to be handed out at Pack Meetings.

Pack Meeting Gathering Activity Coordinator - Open Position

• Plan and executes gathering activities before Pack Meetings.

• Coordinates adult training for den leaders and volunteers.

Pack Public Relations Chair - Stacey Allen

• Represents the pack with schools, parent associations, social media and news organizations.

Pack Hiking Club Coordinator - Shruti Chandra

• Plans monthly hikes of varying length and difficulty, Tracks scout attendance and awards.

Roundtable Representative - Open Position

Pioneer District has monthly roundtable meetings to discuss upcoming events, important information, and ideas for running a good program. This position requires attendance at those meetings and attendance at our monthly committee meetings.

Community Service Project Coordinator - Open Position

Cub scouts serve the community. This position is to plan or find opportunity's for our Pack to serve our community.

Holiday Service Project/Activities Coordinator - Open Position

• Coordinates our gift donation drive and Christmas in the Park tree.

Fundraising Coordinator - Terry Su

• Runs annual fundraiser, selling popcorn or alternatives.

Family Camp Coordinator

We camp as a Pack at the tail end of summer, typically in September or October. This position coordinates our family camp.

Coordinate various scout day activities with the pack (SJ Sharks, Hiller Aviation Museum, SJ Giants...)

• Works with the Committee to run a successful program. Primary communicator to the Pack. Plans and runs Pack Meetings.

• Plan, prepare for, and conduct the Pinewood Derby.

Unit Commissioner - Seth Barberee

• An experienced Scouter who is a mentor to the Pack to help it succeed.

Pinewood Derby Workshops Coordinator - Open Position

• Coordinates pinewood derby workshops where scouts can build there cars.

Pack IT Coordinator - Eric Hu

• Updates our website and help the committee with IT related items. Sets up AV equipment for Pack Meetings.

Spring Overnighter Coordinator - Open Position

Works with the Committee to plan our Spring overnighter held in March.

Pack Greeters - Aron Tripp and Janice Czaplicki

Greets and orient parents at pack meetings.

Scout-o-rama Coordinator - Open Position

Works with the Committee to come up with a booth idea, coordinates setup, shifts, and cleanup of booth.

Scouting For Food Coordinator - Open Position

Our annual Scouting for Food event is in November. Works with the district to map our area, distributes door hangers to dens, coordinates picking up of food event and dropping off at the foodbank.

Assists new scouts in registering with the Pack.

Blue and Gold Dinner Coordinator - Stacey Allen

Blue and Gold Banquet is traditionally in February. This position works with the committee to come up with a theme, decorations, setup, and cleanup of the event.

T-shirts Coordinator - Harold Wray

Sells our Pack T-shirts, collects and distributes donated uniform items.

Wreaths across America Event Lead - Harold Wray

Manages the Wreath Across America event in December.

Pack picnic coordinator - Harold Wray

Plans our end of year Pack picnic. Typically happens the last week of school at a local park.
